It's time for our winter whites. And greys. And blacks. There's something about the low white sun that pulls me to think of ways to portray it. How to make white so blinding and fade it out to the surrounding monochromes. I'm always grateful to have these things to ponder--in every season, on every walk.
As always, the colors are swoon-worthy, and the only way to make me forget about the summer we're leaving behind. Fall's beauty, its trickery, is meant to create the illusion that it will go on forever...
When you make a shift, feel a nudge, push yourself, try something new, it gives you energy, and the more new there is, the more energy you have. Trust the process, and your wings will get stronger.

Just returned from a quick trip to Ketchikan with a friend. So glad I bought that new raincoat! It made it possible to enjoy everything -- food, parks, beaches, totem history, rust dyeing, boardwalks quiet before the storm of 1.5 million summer cruise ship passengers. Wow!
